Hi, I’m Anna Wagner! Fall is my favorite time of year in Spokane. I love the cooler mornings, changing leaves, back-to-school energy, and the feeling of settling into new routines as we head toward the final months of the year. It’s also a great reminder that life is always changing—and sometimes our insurance needs change right along with it.

As a second-generation State Farm agent, State Farm has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, it felt like more than the company my family was connected to—it felt like an extended family. We got to know other State Farm agents and their families, spent time together outside of work, and even became good friends with several of them.

Those experiences gave me an early look at what being a local State Farm agent could really mean. I saw relationships that went far beyond insurance policies. Agents knew their customers, were involved in their communities, supported one another, and were there for people through different stages of life. That sense of connection and community made a lasting impression on me, and it’s something I’m proud to carry forward in my own agency today.

My path to becoming a State Farm agent wasn’t a straight line—and I’m grateful for that.

I first worked in the software industry in public relations and investor relations, where I learned the importance of clear communication, understanding different perspectives, and taking complicated information and making it easier to understand.

I later moved into healthcare, where I learned even more about listening, asking the right questions, building meaningful relationships, and supporting people through unexpected and sometimes difficult moments.

Those careers may seem very different from insurance, but I use what they taught me every day: listen first, communicate clearly, understand the person in front of you, and don’t make something more complicated than it needs to be.

When I eventually became a State Farm agent, those experiences came together with something that had been part of my life since childhood: taking care of people, building relationships that last, and helping people feel more prepared for what comes next.

For me, insurance should feel personal—not transactional.

My team and I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, even the ones you think you should already know the answer to. There’s no embarrassing insurance question in our office! We believe our job is to listen, educate, explain your options clearly, and help you make informed decisions based on what matters to you. No pressure. No confusing jargon. Just real conversations with people who care.
